History of Wing's Unlimited

Wings Unlimited was created in 1974 by husband and wife team Hugh Forrest and Pat Hockett. Hugh is a retired Captain with TWA and Pat is a retired Flight Attendant. They started their flight school in Kansas City, Missouri in 1974.

In 1976 they moved Wings Unlimited, Inc. to Cedar Airpark (51K), where it is today. Cedar Airpark is located in Olathe, Kansas and is a beautiful grass runway 2440 ft. long. Hugh flew for the airlines and concentrated on agriculture aviation and aircraft repair while Pat did flight instruction and together they started the banner tow business. They operated their banner tow business with their son Nathan and many friends and family working together for 24 years. When government regulations would not allow flights over major sporting events the decision was made to discontinue the banner business in 2003. In 2008 the opportunity to purchase the tow hook release rights from McFarlane Aviation became available. With their experience flying banners and instructing in gliders it seemed like a good fit. Today Wings Unlimited, Inc. is selling tow hook products to assist the aviation community in having replacement products for their aging Schweizer tow hooks.
